The Roofing Brief is an independent publication for the roofing industry. We cover the news, write the guides, review the software, map the suppliers, and verify the contractors that operators and homeowners actually need.
There is no shortage of roofing content online. Most of it is contractor marketing, manufacturer promotion, or lead-generation directories pretending to be editorial. We are something else. Independent reporting, named bylines, and a clear North Star: be the single most useful roofing publication on the English-language internet.

Editorial independence
We do not accept referral fees from contractors we list. We do not let software vendors pay for placement in our reviews. We do publish sponsored content on a limited basis, always clearly labeled, and never above 15% of our output.
When we cite a number, we name the source. When we write about a software tool, we tested it. When we recommend a contractor type, we explain the trade-off.
